This is the picture that began my fever for junk-store photos. I discovered it atop a laundry basket full of old prints in a store in Austin, Texas.

The man in the photo is a military police officer standing with what appears to be a 1942 Ford GPW. I'm guessing he was stationed somewhere in the South Pacific during World War II, which is why I snatched it up to become set dressing for my tiki patio.

The only clue to the exact location of the photo is a stamp on the back indicating that it was cleared for release from base number 0145, but I've yet to dig up a resource for WWII base numbers.
